Shop our local businesses and save this Christmas season! Stores are holding holiday open houses, offering specials for your gift-giving this Christmas season. Downtown businesses also offer gift certificates – usable at any of 44 listed stores – in $20 increments. Click here to buy online.
2. 11th Annual Holiday Craft Show at Ludington Area Center for the Arts, 10 a.m.-4 p.m. November 30
Held as part of Small Business Saturday events in Downtown Ludington, this show will feature artisans from around West Michigan with their handcrafted, one-of-a-kind items that are perfect for holidays gifts and your home.
3. Aglow on the Avenue Parade, 6 p.m. November 30
Parade entries, including floats, animals, charactes and trucks will be “aglow” on Ludington Avenue during this evening parade. Santa will make his way into town, and you may even get a glimpse of the famous New Year’s Eve ball! After the parade, head to Sandcastles Children’s Museum, where you can get up close and personal with Santa and Mrs. Claus, discuss your wish list and enjoy some holiday treats.
4. A Very Merry MOTOWN Christmas with the Ultimate Taste Band, 7:30 p.m. December 1
The Ultimate Taste Band will perform a mix of motown tunes with some classic holiday tunes during A Very Merry MOTOWN Christmas. This family-friendly event will feature a night of music and a full bar. General admission tickets are $15 for adults, $8 for children.
5. West Michigan B&B Cookie Tour, Dec. 6-7/Dec. 13-14
This second annual event allows you to sample the best Christmas cookies and treats at nine Michigan bed & breakfasts, stretching from Whitehall to Bear Lake. Up to 18 varieties and three dozen cookies will be yours for the taking and tasting each weekend! Tickets go on sale December 1.
6. White Pine Christmas, 4-7 p.m. December 13-14
Experience Christmas traditions of past and present at this special holiday event. White Pine Village boasts a number of old-time buildings, including a chapel, schoolhouse, trapper’s cabin, fire station, farm house and more – all decorated for the holidays. There will be an old-fashioned street organ, Christmas crafts, and photos with Santa and Mrs. Claus at this beautiful Christmas village.
7. Santa’s Workshop at FloraCraft, 10 a.m.-2 p.m. December 14
Plan to attend this fun day of Christmas crafting, holiday games, stories with Mrs. Claus, hot chocolate, horse-drawn wagon rides and pictures with Santa! This is a free event for families.
8. 12 Days of Christmas Shopping, 10 a.m.-6 p.m. December 13-24
Downtown Ludington businesses are offering special pricing on holiday items each day during this holiday promotion. Get a jump-start on your Christmas shopping by visiting these stores, located in our beautiful, historic district. Giveaways are part of the fun!
A night of music and joy is in store at the Ludington Area Center for the Arts, where a free concert will be held for the public. A number of local musical artists will take the stage, including Dan Seabolt & The Miller Boys, the Baldwin Choir, LAC∀ffect and Rob Kotecki.
10. Edgar Struble Presents: A Nashville Family Christmas, 2 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. December 21
This is one Christmas event you don’t want to miss! It’s entertainment for the whole family, as some of the nation’s best musicians perform at Ludington High School’s Peterson Auditorium. This country musical extravaganza will include traditional and contemporary, holiday country favorites, guest appearances, holiday treats and pictures with Santa! Look for tickets here.
