Halloween Fun in Ludington

If you are looking for some family Halloween fun, or to get scared out of your wits, we’ve compiled a list of what’s happening in Ludington for the holiday! Check out the list of Top 10 events coming for Halloween:

Family Fun:

1. Haunted Village Trick or Treat

Historic White Pine Village will be transformed into a Halloween town for a family-friendly, trick-or-treat event on October 19. Cost is $6 per person; 2 & under are free. Wear your costumes for this afternoon activity!

2. Run For Your Lives 5K/10K/Half Marathon

Wear your costume and “Run for Your Lives!” Join any one of these foot races, beginning at James Street Plaza in Downtown Ludington, on October 26.

3. Trick or Treating in Downtown Ludington

Downtown businesses open their doors (and sidewalks) to ghosts and goblins on October 26 in the spirit of the holiday. Trick or treat from 2-4PM. Check out the Trick or Treat Open House at the Ludington Library afterward from 4-5PM.

4. Halloween Extravaganza

Wagon rides, apple cannons, U-pick pumpkins and “Disc Dogs Live” are all part of the holiday fun at Lewis Farms & Petting Zoo. Don’t miss this Halloween event, with fun for the whole family, on October 26-27.

5. City-wide Trick or Treating 

The “main attraction” for kids in Mason County happens from 6-8PM on October 31. Look for lighted porch lights to gather all your treats for the holiday!

6. Ludrock’s Night of Fright 7

This is Ludington’s biggest Halloween party and concert, held at the Ludington Area Center for the Arts. All ages are welcome! Doors creak open at 6PM, with food, live music and dancing until midnight.

7. Haunted Hayride

Take a spooky wagon ride through the Cartier Park Campground Forest -- enter if you dare! This family-friendly activity on October 19 will feature apples, cider, a scary movie and wagon ride. Cost is $5 per person or $20 per carload, so gather your friends for a fun time!

8. Haunted Mansion Halloween Party

A Halloween party and costume contest will be held in the Grand Ballroom of Stearns Hotel, with live entertainment from Maddison Tripp, starting at 8PM on October 26. Entry is just $5.

9. Frankenstein

The West Shore Community College Theater Department presents Frankenstein at the Center Stage Theater, for audiences 13 and older. This highly theatrical and emotional play traces Frankenstein's path to the final confrontation with his intelligent, articulate, sensitive, and powerfully violent child. The show runs from October 24-27 at WSCC.

10. Spooky Slow Roll 3

A fun and spooky nighttime bicycle ride for teens and adults is back! Wear your best costume for a chance to win prizes, and be prepared for special surprises along the 5-mile path!
