Pure Ludington Music Brightens Winter Nights

Stay toasty on a wintry night with comfort food, tunes to warm your heart and plenty of craft beer and cider on tap. Pure Ludington’s night spots are sure to entertain you during this snowy season.

Warm up by the fireplace and grab your favorite from among 24 brews on draft, as Ludington Bay Brewing Co. welcomes local artists to perform in the tap room every Friday night from 7-10 p.m. Come hungry, and try the brewery’s homemade mac and cheese, crab rangoon pizza or pulled pork tacos.

The Mitten Bar is a revered place to meet eclectic artists. Delilah DeWylde’s “rockabilly” show and Luke Winslow-King’s blues and jazz are two examples. And you can’t go wrong with trying the dozen rotating Michigan craft brews on tap at this cozy pub.

Jamesport Brewing Co. is another spot you might catch a local acoustic set or some “gipsy jazz. ” The brewery has a full menu (try the Paesano cheese bread or fish fry) and up to 14 JBC beers on tap, so check out the lineup of weekend musical acts here.

Is you’re looking for a farm-to-table burger, a beer and live music, head to Ludington Pub. Weekends are a popular time for musical performances, when local acoustics share their artistry in a relaxed atmosphere. Take a load off and enjoy some chili-cheese fries.

The Performing Arts Series at West Shore Community College hosts a variety of national and international acts throughout the year, so be sure to check out who’s going to be on stage next! Coming in February will be Mamma Mia! at the Center Stage Theater. ABBA’s hits tell the hilarious story of a young woman’s search for her birth father on a Greek island paradise. It boasts a large cast, non-stop laughs and explosive dance numbers. Look here for tickets.

If you dabble in music yourself, you’ll want to bring your instrument to the Ludington Area Center for the Arts for the Acoustic Jam Sessions on Wednesdays. The gallery space is open to all interested musicians from 6-8:30 p.m. each week. Or you may want to attend an Open Mic Night on Friday evenings. LACA also holds concerts from notable singers and songwriters, so look for the lineup here.

Spend a weekend like a local: Visit one or all of these locations for a Pure Ludington experience!
