If cold weather isn’t your thing, we have a roundup of indoor activities to suit you. Stay warm and cozy with our Top 6 ways to stay busy inside this winter.

Live music

January will feature at least two live music performances to entertain crowds in Ludington. The Diego Rivera Quartet is scheduled to play January 14 at the Ludington Area Center for the Arts. A world-class musician, composer, arranger and educator, Rivera has entertained audiences for over 20 years. He is known for his muscular tone and unique blend of straight-ahead jazz fused with music inspired by his Latino background and heritage. Purchase tickets HERE.

The Whiskey Charmers will perform live in the taproom at Ludington Bay Brewing Company on January 21. This free entertainment is part of your dining experience at the Bay and lasts from 6-9 p.m.

Comedy Night

Round up your friends for a fun night of stand-up comedy. The Ludington Area Center for the Arts has teamed up with Fresh Ghost Comedy to bring a couple of the most hilarious Michigan comedians to Ludington to make you laugh! Tickets are just $10 and can be purchased online HERE.


Check out Ludington’s newest family activity center, Stix Bar and Park Lanes. This new bowling alley has state-of-the-art pinsetters and lanes, as well as “SPARK” technology on six of the 12 lanes, providing a holographic bowling experience. Lanes are available by reservation, and you can even hold a party there if you wish! Stix pizza is the perfect pairing. Call ahead to hold your spot, 231-845-8181.

Spartan West also has open bowling daily -- and cosmic bowling every Friday and Saturday night! Food and drink are available from Beamer’s Restaurant.


Pure Ludington Dining

Huddle up by the fire at one of our Pure Ludington locations, where you will find seasonal menus with comfort food designed for anyone’s palette. You will love the atmosphere of our downtown breweries and bistros.

For a fine dining experience, visit the trendy Crown and Cork, Blu Moon Bistro, Scotty’s, Stix, or Table 14. For a more relaxed vibe, check out House of Flavors, Jamesport Brewing Company, Ludington Bay Brewing Company, Sportsman’s, Luciano’s, Q Smokehouse, or Timbers Steak and Seafood. Head to Emerson Lake Inn or 876 Baldwin if you’re up for a short drive to the east.

Ice skating

West Shore Community College boasts an indoor regulation-sized ice skating rink. It’s available to the public every weekend for open skating, and freestyle figure skating sessions are scheduled as well. Don’t know how to skate? Test out one of the learn-to-skate lessons! Or plan ahead and host a birthday pizza party at the rink.

Indoor Disc Golf

Join the indoor putting league at Grip N Rip Disc Golf on Thursday nights! This top-of-the-line disc golf store offers everything you need to get started, and participants casually gather at 6:30 p.m. to hone their skills during the winter months. It’s a great way to stay active and only $5 per session.
