Holiday spirit fills the air, as Pure Ludington hosts a number of spectacular events in preparation for Christmas. Greet Santa, attend a parade, and enjoy a hot chocolate, as you seek out that perfect gift for a loved one at one of our downtown locations.

Shop our local businesses and save this holiday season. Stores will be open for additional hours, offering superb holiday specials for your gift-giving this Christmas season. Downtown businesses also offer gift certificates – usable at any of 44 listed stores – in $20 increments. Click here to buy online.
The gigantic Christmas tree in the town square will be lighted for the first time, as the townspeople delight in caroling at the North James Street Plaza.
3. Library Open House, Saturday, November 24, 4-6 p.m.
Families can enjoy hot drinks and snacks at the Ludington Public Library’s Parade Open House while they are browsing downtown. A holiday story will be read, followed by a short movie, at this free event from 4-6 p.m. , just prior to the parade.
4. Aglow on the Avenue Holiday Parade, Saturday, November 24 at 6 p.m.
Greet Santa as he makes his way into town for the holidays! The parade starts at Gaylord Street and proceeds east down Ludington Avenue to Harrison Street. Parade entries, including animals, floats and the New Year's Eve Ball, will be "aglow" with lights!
5. Photos with Santa, Saturday, November 24, 7-8 p.m.
Children can get an up-close look, if they follow Santa to Sandcastles Children’s Museum. Here, they can nibble on some cookies while waiting for a thrilling visit with Mr. and Mrs. Claus.
6. 10th Annual Holiday Craft Show at Ludington Area Center for the Arts, Saturday, November 24, 10 a.m.-4 p.m.
Over 30 crafters and artists will have their eye-catching goods on display for purchase at this stunning show. Start your holiday shopping early by grabbing some of these homemade products.
7. We'll Be Home for the Holidays, Friday, December 7, 7 p.m.
A night of music and joy is in store at the Ludington Area Center for the Arts, where a free concert will be held for the public. A number of local musical artists will perform, including the Baldwin Public School Choir and Fremont John Ashton. If you can't get there, it will be broadcast live on the radio at 92.7FM!
8. Photos with Santa Claus, Saturday, December 8, 10 a.m.-3 p.m.
Mr. and Mrs. Claus, along with some festive elves, will be on hand at the Ludington Library to meet with kids, who may bring along their Christmas lists. The event and photos are free of charge.
9. Pioneer Christmas at White Pine Village, December 15, 4-7 p.m.
See the Christmas your ancestors may have celebrated over 125 years ago at this historical event. White Pine Village boasts a number of old-time buildings, including a chapel, schoolhouse, trapper’s cabin, fire station, farm house and more – all decorated for the holidays. There will be an old-fashioned street organ, Christmas crafts, and photos with Santa and Mrs. Claus from 5-7 pm.
10. 12 Days of Christmas Shopping, December 13-24
Downtown Ludington businesses are offering special pricing on holiday items each day during this holiday promotion. Get a jump-start on your Christmas shopping by visiting these stores, located in our beautiful, historic district. Holiday hours, 10 a.m.-8 p.m., are also offered during these open-house events.
