Disc Golf Destination

The object of the game is to sink a disc in a target in as few throws as possible. The discs are made in specific weights and are categorized by some of the same names as certain golf clubs. Local courses are located at Mason County Park on Chauvez Road near the Ludington Pumped Storage Plant and on school forest property on North Jebavy Drive, between Johnson and Bryant Roads.

Discs are available from Tire It Wholesale at 388 N. Jebavy Drive (231-843-3639).

Mason County Pumped Storage Park
From Ludington, take U.S. 31 to South Pere Marquette Hwy (Old 31). Follow Pere Marquette Hwy south 1/2 mile to Chauvez Road, then right two miles to the park entrance which is on the left. The course begins near the picnic shelter. 

Ludington Area School Forest
Located in Ludington on North Jebavy Drive between Johnson & Bryant Roads.

Geocaching

Geocaching is a relatively new activity combining technology and a bit of adventurous hide-and-seek skills. Individuals of all ages participate in the sport of concealing treasures and searching for those others have hidden with only latitude and longitude coordinates (entered into a GPS unit) to guide them.
